as part of HO(ME) I created a photo archive of everyone i’ve met at the expo. in the third work (3) Connection, (toy) flip phones are displayed. i used those as a prop for the portraits of visitors.
It was a fun project with positive reactions. most visitors know about the (toy) flip phone, but hadn’t touched one for years. that sentiment of nostalgia brought them home.
Creating the archive adds another layer of interactivity for the visitors and was a chance to elongate the momentum of the expo after it is finished .
i created a concept for the rollout of the content, this way, people would stay engaged. since everyone was photographed with a pink toy flip phone, i named it 1-800-HO(ME)LINE. The concept was partially inspired by drake’s hotline bling.

Draft
Everyday at 8:30 PM, 12 portraits would be posted on the story as if they picked up a call.
After the 12 pictures were posted, I posted this template with the link to the archive.
Collage created of most of the portraits.
the response to this archive was positive. Followers were anticipating their portrait and reacted to those of others. While posting them i also tried to find the accounts of the persons in the picture and tag them (without my followers seeing the tag). this way, visitors could find my account and the link to the photo archive as well.
